Granny’s Chicken Soup:
Preparation Time: 25-30 minutes
What You’ll Need:
- 1 carrot, peeled and quartered
- 1 onion, peeled and quartered
- 2 sticks celery, quartered
- 50g butter
- 500g shredded chicken breasts
- 50g plain flour
- 800g chicken stock
How To:
- Combine carrot, onion and celery in the Mistral Smart Intelli Kitchen Machine bowl. Chop for 5 seconds at a high speed.
- Remove vegetables and set aside.
- Add shredded chicken and flour to mixing bowl. Cook for 5 minutes.
- Add the vegetables back to the mixing bowl with 50g butter. Cook for 5 minutes at 100 degrees.
- Add chicken stock to the soup, cooking for roughly 15 minutes at 100 degrees.
Roasty-Toasty Pumpkin Soup:
Preparation Time: 30-35 minutes
What You’ll Need:
- 1 kg pumpkin, peeled and diced
- 1 onion, peeled and quartered
- 1 red chilli (seedless)
- 3 cloves garlic (peeled)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 sprig fresh rosemary
- 800g chicken stock
- 150ml light cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
How To:
- Pre-heat oven to 180C.
- Mix diced pumpkin, onion, garlic, chilli and rosemary together with olive oil.
- Place vegetables to a baking tray, and straight into the oven for 20 minutes.
- Add the roasted vegetables into the Mistral Smart Intelli Kitchen Machine bowl.
- Add the chicken stock and blend for one minute at a high speed.
- Cook for 10 minutes at 100-degrees.
- Finally, add the cream and mix for 20-30 seconds.
Easy-Peasy Pasta Dough:
Preparation Time: 20 minutes
- 250 g "OO" flour
- 2 eggs whole
- 3 egg yolks
How To:
- Add the flour, eggs to the Smart Intelli Kitchen Machine bowl.
- Knead for about 2 minutes on a medium/high speed, until a dough is formed.
- Add extra egg yolks to the mixture, kneading for another 2 minutes.
- Divide the dough into quarters.
- Dust your bench surface with extra flour.
- Wrap the pasta dough with plastic wrap, resting for 30 minutes. individually and leave on the bench to rest for 30 minutes.
- Flatten your dough, by rolling out to around 0.5cm thickness.
- Cut your pasta into neat ravioli parcels or tubes.
Easy-Peasy Mac N’ Cheese:
What You’ll Need:
- 1200g water
- ½ tsp salt
- 150g fresh pasta
- 50g gruyere cheese
- 50g cheddar cheese
- 20g blue cheese
- 20g butter
- 20g all-purpose flour
- 200ml milk
How To:
- Add salted water to Smart Intelli Kitchen Machine bowl. Heat for 10 minutes at 100-degrees (or until it reaches boiling point)
- Add fresh pasta and cook 5 minutes at a high speed. Drain and set aside.
- Add cheese to the bowl, grating for 5 seconds at a high speed. Set aside.
- Add butter to the mixture, melting for 1 minute.
- Add flour and milk. Cook for 10 minutes at 100 degrees.
- Pour sauce over pasta and stir through.
- Transfer mac and cheese to an ovenproof dish, and place in the oven for a few minutes until golden brown.
